BRIGHTON WILL BE ACTIVE

The Brighton and Hove Albion manager Gus Poyet has said that his club will be one of the active members of the transfer window on the deadline day. Brighton and Hove Albion are looking to invest heavily in the players on the final day of the transfer window because they have been significantly boosted following the sale of Craig Noone a few days ago. It has meant that Gus Poyet now has a large pot of cash to spend on new players. However, it will certainly not a mean that the club will be spending extravagant amounts of money on a few players.

He has said that the club will be looking to strengthen the squad significantly before the end of the transfer window with the view of getting promotion to the Premier league. Brighton and Hove Albion were not one of the clubs expected to challenge for promotion spot this time around, but they have started the new season extremely well with just one loss and a draw in the opening four matches. As a result, they are currently in the fourth position just two points behind the leaders Blackpool. Gus Poyet is keen to continue the good start to the season with a few more additions.

“I had a budget and a quantity of money to spend, then that amount increased a lot. That doesn’t mean we will look for an exact replacement. We will look for a player that can help us get better, maybe with different characteristics. We are in the market. Heavily. It’s been absolutely crazy this week. I’ve never seen something like this. The last few transfer windows, we’ve been practically done with a few days to go. This one has been non-stop,” said the Brighton and Hove Albion manager ahead of the close of the transfer window.
