BRIGHTON INTERESTED IN TAKING UNITED DEFENDER ON LOAN

The list of clubs interested in signing Manchester United’s left-back Brandon Williams has continued to grow longer, with Brighton and Hove Albion the most recent side to have joined the queue in the race to sign the young defender. United manager Olé Gunnar Solksjær has remained insistent that he would like to keep the young English left-back at the club so he can fight for his place in the team but offers keep coming in for him and he could eventually be forced to loan out the defender.

Wolverhampton Wanderers, Crystal Palace, and Fulham have all expressed their interest in signing Williams but United have been blocking his proposed departure from Old Trafford. Brighton are offering him a one-year loan spell that will see him spend the entirety of the 2021-22 season at the Amex Stadium and the player could be tempted with the offer of playing more games than he will be getting under Solksjær in the Premier League next season.

Since bursting onto the scene two seasons ago, Williams has always shown that he is capable of competing for a spot in the United team and has continued to show glimpses of fine football as well. His ability to play on both flanks of the defense makes him a prospective top professional defender in the future and if he passes through the right management ladder, he could end up having an impressive career at the top level.

If United fail to consider Brighton’s offer, they may be forced to let down their guard if another offer comes in for Williams anytime soon. Williams is also said to be keen on a move away from Old Trafford as he already knows it will be difficult to displace either Luke Shaw or Alex Telles in the United team.
